Thank you!

On behalf of the American Association of University Women student chapter at Lehigh, we want to say thank you for your consideration and generosity in donating to our mission to send our executive board to the NCCWSL. Your contribution will be extremely valuable for us to continue our work of helping women at Lehigh develop both professional and personal skills, and use their voices to advocate for all women both on campus and beyond.

American Association of University Women

The American Association of University Women Lehigh student affiliate group is dedicated to empowering women on Lehigh's campus to seek out the tools they need to excel both in education and in the workplace. Our mission as a student organization is to empower every woman on Lehigh's campus to excel both in the classroom and in their chosen professions by giving them the tools they need to advocate for themselves and the women around them. By attending this conference, we will bring what we've learned back to campus and apply it in our programming and our advocacy, so that we can positively impact every woman who may be struggling to find her way. By sending all of the executive board members and several general members, everyone will be able to participate in the conference in a way that best suits their individual potential, and we can come together to highlight each set of unique assets and strengthen our club's impact.

National Conference for College Women Student Leaders

NCCWSL is an opportunity for student leaders across the country to learn valuable leadership skills from each other and from female professionals in all fields, and use those new skills to call others to action, organize effectively, and foster community among women with shared values and experiences. The conference consists of a weekend of lectures, workshops and panel discussions ranging from topics like building a personal brand and leading with confidence to allyship and inclusion in the fight for equity. Each student can choose the workshops that are most meaningful to their own personal and professional interests, which makes the NCCWSL experience unique for everyone involved. This year, the keynote speech will be given by Roxane Gay, author of the essay collection Bad Feminist and advocate for women's equality. Other women of distinction, like Lauren Simmons and Marie Chen, will be honored at the event, and will speak on their experiences as women in their chosen professions. This conference is an opportunity for all of us to learn from these women who have come before us and take action to become inspiring leaders ourselves.

AAUW and Lehigh Alumni Network

We believe that women working together is a fundamental step in following our mission, which is why we strive to establish and nurture relationships with women in industry, and others fighting for the same cause. In alignment with this mission, we want to take this opportunity to create an alumni network of AAUW women and Lehigh alumnae to serve as a resource for the next generation of Lehigh women. It is so important to look toward the women who have come before us and opened the door for us to achieve even more today than we thought possible, and every donation we receive will only strengthen that connection. If you are a Lehigh graduate or a member of an AAUW branch who wants to make an impact on the lives of our future leaders, please consider joining our network by either emailing us at lehighaauw@gmail.com or filling out your information here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12a8qU7mTQIhBhtKFmx7pxpXdn-zpsdw8DmvvC6QPv4I/edit?usp=sharing
